  1. About Competitive Exam Guidance Cell (CEC)

There is a separate Competitive Examination Guidance Cell in the college, which is display information about various competitive examinations on the college notice board. The collage taken efforts to prepare the students for central and state competitive examinations. Weekly special coaching lectures are organized by the faculty members in this regards. Information related to such examinations is given through notice board regularly in library. Dnyaneshwari Abhaysika from local authorities also collaborated with college library for competitive examination study of college students. The books related competitive examinations are purchased by the collage library for the benefit of such students. During last two years 300 students were registered their names in Competitive Examination Guidance Cell

  1. Coaching Classes for entry into services for SC,ST,OBC and Minority Community Students

In accordance with University Grant Commission (UGC).The cell organizes classes to prepare students for competing in various competitive examinations for recruitment to services under Centre and State Governments. The students for this scheme belong to Schedules Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) & Minorities. This is second year of this scheme implementation in the college.

These classes cover all components of General Studies and important topics of other subjects, which are presented for various competitive examinations. Because of this UGC scheme in the college many students have become aware of various job opportunities. They have started applying for jobs on line. They have started setting goal for their career.

They have started setting goal for their career. In this year four students apply for MPSC examination. Many of the students are first generation learners coming from illiterate parents. But they now think of applying for competitive examinations conducted by MPSC, UPSC and other bodies. This could happen just because of excellent implementation of this scheme in the college.

Competitive Examinations Guidance Cell Report: 2014-15

There is a separate Competitive Examinations Guidance Cell (CEGC) in the college. It conducts various activities for students who intend and prepare for various competitive examinations. In accordance with University Grant Commission (UGC).The cell organizes classes to prepare students for competing in various competitive examinations for recruitment to services under Centre and State Governments.

Competitive Examinations Guidance Cell has organized various programmes and activities for students during the year 2014-15.Some important programmes & activities are given as below.

  1. Special Guest lecture was organized for college students during the year 2014-15.There are 17 special lectures were organized in the college. Among them 2 resource person invited from outside the college. Detail of all lecture are given below.

Competitive Examinations Guidance Cell has also organized one competitive examination in association with Deepstambha foundation, Jalgaon on 211st, 2014.In this examination 85 students were participated. One student is achieved in rank 18 of the Maharashtra merit list (Krishna Aher (T.Y.B.Sc.) )

  1. Second competitive examination organized by Comp. Exam. Cell in association with Matoshree Mahavidhyalaya Eklahare on 27th, 2015. In this examination 36 students were participated. In this examination Krishna Aher stood first in rank and  Borse Lakhan stood  second in rank
  2. A one day workshop on“Preparation of Competitive Examinations” was organized by Competitive Examination Guidance Cell in association with student Welfare ,Ozar Mig on 12th, 2015.Total 155 student were the beneficiaries the Programme which was inaugurated by chief guest CEO of Nandgaon Nagar Parishad Smt. Nirmalatail Gaikawad. She also delivered special lecture on “Preparation of Comp. Examination”. In second session Prof. Dhananjay Deshmukh delivered lecture on “Introduction of various competitive examination conducted by MPSC and UPSC”. During last session Dr.Medha Saihkedkar delivered special lecture on “Currents Affairs”. In this session one lecture delivered by Prof.Smt.S.T.Wagh on “Intelligent Test for Comp. Exams.”
  3. On the occasion of Annual Gathering one other General Knowledge Competitive Examination was organized on 28th2015.In this examination 50 students from the college were participated. In this examination Borse Lakhan stood rank first in rank with 35 marks out of 50 marks.
  4. Four students of our college Pass in PSI Examination-2013.Dhikale Yogesh Jagannth (281),Handore Bhushan Balasaheb (364) & Labhade Vinod Shankar (Rank 410).

UPSC Preliminary Examination New Syllabus from 2013

Syllabus of Paper I – (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

  1. Current events of national and international importance.
  2. History of India and Indian National Movement.
  3. Indian and World Geography-Physical, Social, Economic.
  4. Geography of India and the World.
  5. Indian Polity and Governance-Constitution, Political.
  6. System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
  7. Economic and Social Development-Sustainable.
  8. Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social.
  9. Sector Initiatives, etc.
  10. General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization.

Syllabus for Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours

  1. Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
  2. Logical reasoning and analytical ability
  3. Decision making and problem solving
  4. General mental ability
  5. Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – Class X level)

Note: It is mandatory for the candidate to appear in both the Papers of Civil Services (Prelim) Examination for the purpose of evaluation. Therefore a candidate will be disqualified in case he/she does not appear in both the papers of Civil Services (Prelim) Examination.

IBPS Preliminary exam syllabus – IBPS Preliminary Exam Pattern

             IBPS department scheduled PO/MT V & Clerk V exam in two levels Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 is as preliminary exam and tier 2 as mains exam. IBPS Pre Exam Pattern contains fewer objective type questions with shorter duration.  Pre examination of IBPS exam have some short and multi choice questions (MCQ) from both subjects reasoning, English, quantitative aptitude.   1. Placement Cell

              College has separate employment cell and Vice-Principal Smt.S.T.Wagh is a Placement officer of this cell. It provides placement services to the students. The faculty gives  guidance to students about career or self employment. This cell also regularly guidance to students about competitive examinations. The Department of English organized a programme entitled ‘An Interview: Preparation and Presentation. The mock interviews also organized by the Department facilitate the interviewees to prepare themselves for the real interviews. This cell organized one-two campus interviews a every year in the college.

  1. Student Counseling Cell

There is also sub cell for Students Counseling.  Prof.N.B.Borse is co-coordinator for this cell.     This cell organized a guest lectures and also personally guidance to student about preparation or competitive examinations and subject selection for various courses and examinations. Other teachers also guide the students personally in addition to classroom teaching. Personal guidance is provided informally and formally for the failed students. The teacher of Psychology, Prof. Smt S.S.Raravikar, goes to every class occasionally and interacts with the students on their psychological problems. This activity encourages the students for their bright future
