1.  Department of English

The Department of English was established in June 1984 and it is one of the leading departments of the college. The department offers a programme – Bachelor of Arts in English. Besides, the academic activities, the faculty from the department constantly keep motivating the students for the curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The teachers from the department are very keen on developing the overall personality of the students and therefore keep them engaged in various activities run by the department. Hundred percent of the faculty from the department is research oriented. So far, Mr. Rajendra B.  Shinde has total 33 years of teaching experience. He is the Head of the Department and he has published 1 Book of Poetry, 1 Book Chapter, 11 Research Papers in National and International Peer Reviewed journals and presented 12 research papers in International and National Seminars, conferences and webinars, participated in 48 seminars and conferences and workshops. He has also organized and coordinated one National Webinar and one State level Seminar.  He is expertise in Marathi drama and he has developed manuscripts of eight Marathi one act plays and four of them are staged by students in the cultural events. Dr. P.P. Parmar is an approved Research Guide of the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and three students are doing Ph.D. under his guidance. He is member of Board of Studies in English of Sandip University Nashik. He has total 25 years of teaching experience. He has published 3 Book Chapters, 38 Research Papers in National and International Peer Reviewed journals and presented 32 research papers in International and National Seminars, conferences and webinars participated in 30 seminars and conferences and workshops. He has also organized and coordinated one National Webinar and one State level Seminar. Dr. M.D. Dugaje is an approved Research Guide of the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune and six students are doing Ph.D. under his guidance. He is a member of six Editorial boards of National Research Journals. He has total 22 years of teaching experience. He has published 1 Book on ‘Research Methodology’, edited 3 books, published 6 Book Chapters and 37 Research Papers in National and International Peer Reviewed journals and presented 36 research papers in International and National Seminars, conferences and webinars, participated in 50 seminars and conferences and workshops.

 Literary Association: Special Lecture on ‘Importance of Reading’: Literary Association was inaugurated at the auspicious hands of the Principal Dr. R. D. Darekar on 15 October 2022. Prof. Asha Landage, Dept. of English, the chief guest of the function, delivered a lecture on ‘Importance of Reading’. She highlighted the importance of reading literature and wide reading in her speech.

2.Guest Lecture: Dr. S.K. Binnor , member of Board of Studies and Board of Faculty of Savitribai Phule Pune university, the Head of the Department of  English, K.T.H.M. College, Nashik  delivered  a  guest lecture on  ‘ Communication Skills’ on 23/01/2024.  He highlighted the importance of communication skills in English.

3. Guest Lecture: Dr.P.P.Parmar , the Assistant Professor of the Department of English, ASC College , Ozar (Mig)   delivered  a  guest lecture on  ‘ Goal Setting : An Important  Soft Skill’ on  20/01/2024. He highlighted the importance of Goal Setting   in Career Making.
